Jamie. T is one of those acts who draws in fans from all walks of life and lifestyles. His sold out gig at The Electric Ballroom in Camden this evening had everybody from tattooed middle age skinheads to slight girls in tea dresses with plaits in their hair in attendance and high spirits. The crowd was joined together in a mass of rowdy sing along debauchery that saw Jamie. T sling himself off the stage into the crowd only half way through the opening song of what was an amazing set. Jamie and his backing band The Pacemakers have so much energy and lust for what they do that it exudes from them onstage and has the crowd eating out the palms of their hands. Bashing out classics such as If You Got The Money, Operation and Shelia to a crowd that just couldn’t get enough before a leaving the stage only to return moments later for an encore which left new single Sticks and Stones to last. The new EP, of the same name, is released on Monday before an album to be expected later this year which, if this evenings show of new material is anything to go by, will be track after track of blistering audio goodness. From heavily reggae influenced dance tracks to quieter and sweeter melodies it seems the Jamie. T and The Pacemakers have created a new album that smashes through the brilliant of the previous Panic Prevention and makes a new path all of its own.
